Kaitie Sly is a bassist, recording artist, educator and author, who has been honing her musical talents since the age of 8. As an educator, she has worked as a private music instructor, clinician and music curriculum developer for over 13 years, and has lent her music education expertise to companies such as Fender, and most recently with the team at Singdaptive. She is the author of the electric bass method books, Beginner Series: Bass Method, which have received high acclaim from some of the industry’s top bassists and bass educators
As an instrumentalist, Kaitie has worked as a session musician and performer in Canada, the US, and the UK for many artists and ensembles, and has been featured on the player spotlight of www.notreble.com for her bass playing. Kaitie writes, produces and records her own original music as well on both bass and vocals. As a recording artist, Kaitie has been featured on Rolling Stone with her duo project, Syreim. Her original music is very eclectic, and has been described as dark, trippy, haunting and eerie.
